In depth
Verdict
A modest start to proceedings, though My Lord has won 11 times under both codes and was second under today's apprentice at Newbury last week. Lostock Hall is eased in grade and La Havrese has won twice at Wolverhampton this year but Merchant Of Medici may need this and it's difficult to make a case for those at the foot of the handicap. MASTERPAVER has been racing over further on the all-weather recently but was second over this trip at Chelmsford last June when 24lb higher – a repeat of that effort would suffice.
