      Verdict

      Thello beat similar rated horses in a classified race at Newcastle in February but is 7lb higher back in a handicap. Berlusca is no forlorn hope off his current mark but OMOTESANDO is 9lb lower than when beaten three lengths in last year’s renewal. Fourth at Carlisle during the week, Megan Nicholls’ allowance further helps his cause this evening. Soft ground may have been an excuse for Cartavio last time given he won on a fast surface at Salisbury before that and he’s preferred to Suspect Package, who steps up in trip today.
