    Verdict

COLLATERAL (NAP) looks worth a maximum bet in this opener as James Tate’s Reckless Abandon colt, out of a dam that has produced winners with all of her offspring to date, showed plenty of promise at Goodwood at the start of the month and will know more today. Gangland got outpaced by the speedy Another Batt at Ripon so this extra furlong should help while only a neck separated Go Now Go Now and Shaheen behind Collingham Park at Ripon, though the winner has been beaten since. Pacific Fleet changed hands for 95,000gns in April so will be expected to pay his way and is the pick of the newcomers.
