Verdict

Presenting Julio completely blew the start when favourite for the Ladies’ Derby at Ripon on Thursday. The longer trip will help if he gets away on terms here but he arrives with a risk warning attached. With Hindsight is only 1-18 on Turf but has been thereabouts lately in similar contests and looks a rock-solid each-way selection. London Glory has plenty to prove stamina-wise, however, whereas Crakehall Lad is only a pound higher than when beaten only a neck over this trip at Nottingham. MIDNIGHT WARRIOR is a dual course and distance winner back on a winning mark and racing on his optimum surface. With Phil Dennis taking off 5lb, he gets the nod to come good again having returned to form when second here last month.
