In depth

Verdict

Winning hurdler SOLO SAXOPHONE has twice undergone wind surgery and returned to the Flat after his latest operation with a wide-margin success at Thirsk. He looked ahead of the handicapper on his first outing for Ben Haslam and can defy a penalty over this longer trip. Snookered won a bumper at Newcastle in February while Roar scored over 1m6f back on the level at Sandown recently. Tonto's Spirit has won twice over fences since last seen under this code while Cool Possibility, Methag and Singing Sheriff are others worthy of a second glance with the latter open to improvement over this extra distance.
