        Verdict

        Competition placed over 1m4f at Wolverhampton on his debut for Mick Appleby but is not certain to be suited by this shorter trip. Oceanus won over hurdles in March and returns to the Flat on a winning mark while Corked beat Ritchie Star when scoring at Newcastle last year, though has yet to win on this surface in 12 attempts. NINE ELMS showed little last year but posted a much better effort when third at Leicester on a recent handicap debut. There’s plenty of scope for further progress and Roy Bowring’s charge may be the one to side with.
