Mondammej edged out Copper Knight here three weeks ago with JAWWAL fourth, Be Proud eighth and Mountain Peak last. The first two were both were unplaced and behind Premier Power in the Portland at Doncaster subsequently and Michael Dods’ sprinter could turn the tables here if he gets away on level terms. Lihou was only beaten a neck off a higher mark at Windsor in July but that proved to be a false dawn. Royal Crusade runs in his first handicap and is also tackling the minimum trip for the first time but it would be no surprise to see him go close with Adam Farragher taking off a valuable 5lb.
