      Verdict

AURORA DAWN stepped up on her four runs on artificial surfaces to romp away with a Newmarket handicap. Understandably hit with a hefty 11lb rise by the handicapper, she still appeals as the main player in what seems a fairly ordinary Class 5. Mahboobah is hard to assess at present so Pearl Eye may be the danger off the back of a couple of close-up efforts this season. Vegas Jack and Pearly Star make their handicap bows while Masterpainter sports first-time blinkers and takes a drop in trip.
