        Verdict

        Count D'orsay beat CAME FROM THE DARK half-a-length here three weeks ago with Militia and stablemate Copper Knight further behind. But the runner-up, who likes it here, lost a shoe in the course of that contest and is now 2lb better off so is entitled to turn the tables. It’s a while since Lord Riddiford won on Turf and he probably needs some help from the handicapper while Ainsdale is having a first run of the year. Dark Shot arrives in top form but steps up in grade again and carries a penalty while this looks too hot for Mid Winster.
