The step up in trip will suit Hail Bold Chief, who was well backed over a mile at Pontefract last month. Hughie Morrison has his string firing on all cylinders so it would be no surprise if Formulation, runner-up in both starts so far this year, was prominent again. Morning Chief was only run out of it in the closing stages at Newbury last time and is only a pound higher here, while Dream Win will strip fitter for his fourth at Thirsk and stays this trip. But anything Serena Brotherton rides in races of this nature can never be discounted and AMAZING BLUE SKY is no exception. Ruth Carr's five-year-old was an excellent second over C&D eight days ago and can go one better in this.
