In depth

Verdict

Farang Kondiew, Peters Pursuit and Busy Bimbo all ran up to a similarly modest level on their respective debuts, but FREDERICK ENGELS' second at Hamilton to the well-regarded Bapak Chinta was a better effort. He will have benefited for that experience and David Brown's charge is taken to go one better here. Talwar stands out amongst the newcomers having cost 140,000gns and boasting a host of big race entries, but fellow newcomer Pink Sapphire is another to note as she's a half-sister to the useful pair Cayman Kai and Tajasur. Strong support in the betting for either of those two could prove significant.
