Verdict

Handsome Dude beat subsequent course winner Major Pusey here in June and is better off at the weights. Hyperfocus stayed on too strongly for Toofi here last time on his first run since being gelded. Englishman and Russian Realm were further behind and Hugo Palmer’s three-year-old looks a threat to all while Muatadel won over this trip on soft going at Doncaster in July and has run well over 5f since off higher marks. Goring justified market confidence at Chepstow but Letmestopyouthere wasn’t far behind, though only ran on Thursday when well beaten. DARK DEFENDER may offer some value in a wide-open race as he’s back over 6f for the first time since finishing second in a similar contest at Hamilton in July off today’s mark.
