Despite the large turnout for this event it is less than competitive, especially with most of these struggling to run two races alike. Lord Seamus finds winning difficult and it would come as a surprise if there wasn't something to beat him on these terms, while Fin Bec, the winner of a non event at Market Rasen last weekend, has more to do in this under a penalty. A chance is taken with Commanche Hero, who seems more straightforward than most of his rivals. He hasn't been disgraced since getting of the mark over fences at Huntingdon as he has come up against a couple of progressive types in Be Upstanding and Sir Cumference. With most of these exposed as moderate he looks the one to beat. Boyne Banks has been very disappointing over fences to date, but is a possible improver in the first time blinkers.
