Verdict
Two against the field here are Misty Future and Ray Source, with the latter getting the vote. Ray Source is on a retrieval mission after his defeat at Bangor on what was his debut over fences. He went off as favourite after scoring earlier over hurdles at Huntingdon and lined up on a similar mark. A slight mistake two out did not help his cause but he was held by the eventual winner Lost In Normandy anyway. Ian Williams' inmate is only lightly raced of late though and with that initial effort under his belt, can only improve over the bigger obstacles. Misty Future is rated about the same as the selection after two outings over fences. His jumping has left a lot to be desired though on both occasions, and even with the champion in the saddle, will need to find another level. There is not a great deal to recommend any of the other three runners here, and in what is basically a match, Ray Source can exploit any sloppy jumping from Misty Future.
