In depth

Verdict

PATS FANCY made a promising start under Rules when second in a bumper at Ffos Las last month and is preferred to Big G, who ran well for a long way at Huntingdon. Theme Tune’s debut effort at Warwick came at the start of the year while several of the newcomers should be noted. Paul Nicholl’s runs the €150,000 purchase Shearer, whose dam is from a family of jumps winners, while Lusitanien’s dam is related to winning chasers in France. Quid Pro Quo is a half-brother to a bumper winner and preferred to Gentleman Kap of the rest.
