In depth

Verdict

Absolutelythebest and Tessanoora have both shown plenty of ability and should be involved in the finish, however we will take a chance with the debutante Wychbury. Heather Dalton's yard is flying at the moment and this son of Swain will no doubt be fit and ready first time up. He had tremendous summer on the flat winning handicaps at Chepstow and Newbury, ending up on a rating of 74. This doesn't look the strongest of contests and he can make a winning start to his hurdles career. Tessanoora is also from ayard amongst the winners and should go well following two promising efforts in bumpers. Meanwhile Absoluelythebest put in a fine performance on his debut when three lengths behind Davys Luck. Irish flat winner Bauhaus, and decent handicapper Miss Pebbles are two other newcomers to watch in the betting, but unless the market says otherwise Wychbury could be the one to be on.
