In depth
Verdict
An uninspiring Classified Hurdle can go to Montangette, who shaped as if running back into form last time, and she is just preferred over the old boy Southerndown and Julies Boy, who head the list of dangers. Others to consider include: Oudalmanteena, who ran a fair race in defeat last time, and Normandy Sands, who is open to more improvement than most and should is a big danger to them all if there is no appreciable deterioration in the ground. However, Montangette is a tough customer to deal with on her day and will no surrender the lead lightly if she is in with a shout late on. Therefore, the daughter of Gildoran is given another chance to prove her determination in a field where resolution in a battle is thin on the ground.
