In depth

Verdict

DECENT LORD has had a stellar season, winning three times in an eight-day period and holding his form very well subsequently. In doing so, he has taken a 26lb hike in the weights since scoring here in February but he nevertheless remains the benchmark for this contest. The one concern that tempers greater confidence is the ground, in that he has yet to score under quick conditions. In contrast, Charles seemed to relish the return to good ground when obliging recently at Uttoxeter and consequently rates a major threat. Bright Decision has each-way claims if forgiven a poor latest effort and looks best of the rest.
