Verdict
Wicked Nice Fella gets the vote over Explosive Fox, Lescer's Lad and Super Judge. Wicked Nice Fella has to give weight away to his rivals this afternoon, but deserves to get his head in front on the strength of one or two decent efforts over hurdles of late, at Fakenham and Market Rasen. Those two encouraging performances should have served to boost his confidence as he returns to the bigger obstacles, and with conditions to suit, he should run a big race. Explosive Fox has yet to win over fences, but has won over hurdles on fast ground in the past, so at least has that in his favour. Lescer's Lad in contrast gained both his career victories at Folkestone in January with cut in the ground and has been beaten twice since. Super Judge is still a maiden but showed a glimpse of ability when second at Ludlow the time before last, and will not be disgraced, but Wicked Nice Fella should have too much know-how today.
