In depth

Verdict

QUIET BOB has been tailed off the last twice but may be worth chancing in this company. Hobb's Dream has obvious claims and Cartier Opera could be involved if returning to form. Hobb's Dream is 4lbs higher than when winning at Plumpton but that is unlikely to prevent her from following up if she can build on that performance and she's lightly enough raced to hope that the run wasn't just a flash in the pan. Cartier Opera appeared to be progressing at a modest level earlier in the season prior to his recent two blips; he may not be done with yet. Incentivise is one to have on side, Nebeltau may fare better now handicapping whilst there could be more to come from Abbey Dore and Coast of Malabar. However, preference is for the Hobbs runner who isn't going to live up to his initial promise having missed 2008 but he may still be capable of winning from this sort of mark if he takes to jumping fences. There's every reason to hope that he will and Quiet Bob gets the nod.
