In depth

Verdict

AUGHCARRA gets the nod in an open heat. Harry Chisman's son of High Chaparral didn't seem to relish the heavy ground at Uttoxeter last month but he is better rated on his previous course win and he has been given plenty of time to get over his latest outing. Monsieur was lucky to win at Bangor (jockey on the runner-up dropped his hands) and a 4lb higher mark may make life tough, whilst Django Reinhardt has claims of defying top-weight if reproducing his Towcester run. Marino Prince attracted support at Market Rasen and punters weren't far off, and along with the consistent Maizy Missile and the blinkered-first-time Golden Partner he rates among the main dangers.
