      Verdict

In the bumper, we will side with Laertes Cause ahead of Dazzling Jim and Mister Cee Jay. Stratford winner Dazzling Jim has to come into the reckoning although Laertes Cause is weighted to get his revenge for that five-length beating. Placed in a point-to-point last time, Heynewboy hails from a stable that knows the time of day and maybe should be watched in the betting. Guns Of Love has something to like on breeding, as does Mister Cee Jay, and we feel that the latter could go well. Cool Alice could also be interesting based on breeding in what is, overall, a modest affair, but Paul Webber's Echo Sound. Overall, though, the vote stays with Laertes Cause.
