In depth

Verdict

Fancy Stuff was far too keen on her hurdling debut at Ascot but ran much better when second on soft ground at Southwell. Realm Of Glory still has time on his side and Deere Mark will find this easier than the Grade 2 he contested at Cheltenham last month but Gaelic Park, also a bumper winner, has yet to show much over hurdles and is easily held by IDEALDES VILLERETS on collateral form. Mel Rowley’s four-year-old was only headed at the last by the impressive subsequent Aintree winner Strong Leader at Uttoxeter and the pair pulled well clear. Picks Lad can only improve on his third at Chepstow while Imperial Admiral and Mammies Boy are both bred for jumping.
