In depth

Verdict

HENRI PRENDS GARDE is a multiple winner between the flags but did nothing over hurdles. He was having just his fourth start over regulation fences when storming to victory at Fontwell and a 7lb penalty shouldn't halt his progress. Fine Lace has been extremely consistent in minor company over timber and landed a maiden at Worcester last week. She makes her debut over fences and her trainer should get some improvement out of her. Sadler's Star had been going quite well before running poorly at Worcester last month and is best watched for now and though Chord hasn't been seen since pulling up here in March he's only 1lb higher than when landing a novices' handicap here on fast ground last October.
