Verdict
A well contested event with a number of potentially useful chasers in the making. Iris Collonges was a smart hurdler but has had his problems and is probably best watched following a lengthy spell on the sidelines. Jakari is lightly raced and open to improvement having already shown a fair level of form to be placed in both starts over fences this term. Henry Daly's gelding has to be respected while Broken Dream is another to consider after promising efforts at Plumpton and Ludlow but the vote goes to Jardin de Beaulieu. The Ian Williams-trained gelding faced a stiff task last time in a valuable contest at Haydock but had previously finished a close second behind a well regarded type at Wetherby and a reproduction should suffice at this level.
