In depth

Verdict

Tuesday's Child can beat Reverse Swing, with Paddy The Optimist and Runner Bean bets of the rest. Tuesday's Child overcame a fall on his chase debut at Cheltenham to come good at Ludlow last time, and although a bit fortunate perhaps, as Nayodabayo was still going well when falling at the last, his confidence will be high. There is not too much in the way of opposition to worry about and he is taken to add to his tally at the expense of Reverse Swing. The latter hails from a stable that has had a few winners lately, and the eight-year-old has won twice himself this year, most recently at Fakenham where he managed to outbattle a ring-rusty Ashwell. He too then was a bit fortunate to score, but off his light weight here, can give the selection most to do. Of the rest, Paddy The Optimist is a course winner but has yet to shine in four starts this term, while Runner Bean is reaching the veteran stage, and was well held when second at Wincanton on his last outing. So, Tuesday's Child looks the one to be on.
