Verdict
Soft going doesn’t suit MELODY OF SCOTLAND (NAP) so she is readily forgiven her run at Cartmel in July. Ben Haslam’s mare, a winner twice here in June, was back on track at Fontwell 11 days ago and can concede weight all round. Transpennine Star has proved expensive to follow over hurdles but Something Brewing took advantage of a tumbling mark to score at Bangor and is only 3lb higher. Craig Star’s second at Bangor was a step in the right direction but Placedela Concorde has not been threatening.
