In depth
Verdict
Rob The Five is preferred here to Manoubi and Devondale. The selection was disappointing when last seen out in June but that effort probably came too soon after a hard race at Uttoxeter when he was a good second behind Cameron Bridge. A reproduction of that effort should suffice here and he gets the vote. Manoubi was a fair second behind Yankee Holiday last time and he remains relatively lightly-raced in this sphere so with further improvement anticipated he has an obvious chance. Devondale has got some decent form but he was disappointing last time and he may just need some respite from the handicapper before he is able to resume winning ways. A competitive contest this, but we will side with Rob The Five to lead them home.
