Verdict

Bocciani won on the Flat in August and wasn't entirely disgraced under a penalty on his return to chasing at Perth. The drop in distance shouldn't be too much of an inconvenience on this stiff track and he can't be ignored. Quite The Man can only improve on his debut victory over fences in a novices' handicap at Perth, but Malcolm Jefferson's gelding finished behind L'ELDORADO over hurdles at Market Rasen in February and is worse off at the weights now. The latter will have learned from his chasing bow at Southwell in May and can score here.
