In depth

Verdict

Safari Journey is an infrequent winner but got his head back in front at Sedgefield last month and seems to get on well with claimer Dean Pratt. Apache Pilot, Brother Scott and FORMIDABLEOPPONENT are all course and distance winners. The latter is the only one of that trio with recent worthwhile form and he may well complete the four-timer before completely shackled by the handicapper. My Idea hasn't won since early 2014 but can't get much lower in the weights while, though already 10, Cartmel winner Colorado Kid still has a bit of scope under Rules.
