    Verdict

FRANIGANE had some fair form in bumpers before runner-up at Ffos Las on his hurdling debut then stormed to an impressive victory in a Wetherby novices' event. That looks stronger form than Fugitif's 6 lengths victory over Gamester's Icon at Uttoxeter though the latter could frank the form earlier on the card. Lanty Slea scrambled home in a Carlisle bumper on his debut a year ago but there were only three runners and the runner-up has been well beaten subsequently. Storm Tiger won a point at Dalton Park by 30 lengths last March but there were only two finishers and the remainder make little appeal.
