In depth

Verdict

GERONIMO (NAP), progressing nicely over hurdles, looked to score with a little in hand at Newcastle over this trip and ground. Further improvement is anticipated and he's taken to concede nearly a stone to the Skelton challenger Dazzling Glory. The latter makes her hurdling debut after scoring here last time in an ordinary bumper but she's a threat if her jumping is up to scratch. After showing promise in a couple of bumpers last year, Mauritian Bolt was most disappointing on his Doncaster hurdling debut and is surely better than that while North Parade is one to note making a return to action after an absence dating back to February last year.
