Verdict

This is usually won by a decent mare and it's significant that MELANGERIE is making her debut in this grade. She's a half-sister to three winning jumpers including Cultivator, who was third in a Grade 2 at Sandown on Friday and also won a bumper. Oscar Rose ran well in this grade at Cheltenham last month and Oh Michelle ran green at Chepstow and can only improve for the experience. Epic Ethel showed a nice turn of foot at Worcester in June but Appy Days and Peggies Venture both won on Polytrack. Mariah's Legend has looked a little one-paced so far.
