In depth
Verdict
The market should offer most clues and Pazmo is tentatively offered ahead of Sam McCoombe and Generous Star. The selection hails from the in-form yard of Malcolm Jefferson and should on breeding, have few qualms about handling the surface. Although his finishing position on debut was modest, he did show well for a long way before fading close home. Sam McCoombe belied his odds to finish a close-up sixth to Tazbar on debut at Wetherby. He ran disappointingly at Towcester but this race is significantly weaker on paper. Generous Star was quietly backed on debut and could be worth a look in the market given the likely going conditions. Terimai is related to a number of winners and is another to watch. Northernsail produced his first glimmer of ability in a Ludlow event and cheekpieces are applied for the first time. In the absence of market information, Pazmo is offered up as the selection.
