Verdict

Watch the market is the advice in this selling opener but without that information we will side with Riskie Blue ahead of Shepherds Warning. Stan Moore's horses have been in good form as the flat-season gets under way and with jockey John Egan in good form as well, the partnership is taken to go in again. He had a well-backed winner of a maiden at Folkestone on Tuesday and if his charge is backed today, punters should take note. Shepherds Warning was very green in that contest at Folkestone when a well-held fifth but there was definitely some promise there and if coming on for that run she must rate a live danger. Miss Antropist appeared to stumble when making decent headway on her debut at Lingfield and did well to finish within four lengths of the winner. She should come on for that run and is certainly another for the shortlist. Bill Turner's Amazing Day should be monitored closely in the betting, but for the winner we will tentatively return to Riskie Blue.
