Verdict
A competitive handicap rounds off the card and many would have chances on their best form but the principles look to be King Eider, Atahuelpa and Salute and the confident vote goes to King Eider. The selection is fit from the flat and was a fair second behind Merryvale Man when last seen over hurdles, if he runs up to that mark he will be hard to beat under conditions that suit. Atahuelpa rates the main danger on his best form but he just gave the impression the handicapper had caught up with him when third last time out and for that reason he is overlooked. Salute is another worthy of respect as he won well last time out at Lingfield but this looks much more competitive and he looks high enough in the weights for what he has actually achieved. Berengario won well last time out but that was in a mares only race and this looks tougher. Debbie is game and consistent and is sure to run her race but she ran as if the handicapper had caught up with her last time. Of the remainder Ma Furie is from a shrewd yard and is worth noting in the market but for the winner we return to King Eider.
