He looked likely to win with something to spare last time but in the end was made to battle hard to notch a first career success. He again faces similar trip, ground and a right-handed track and gets the nod off a 3lb higher mark. King Cnut is best watched on this hurdling return but Billy Ray looks dangerous back from a break. He stays the trip well, Tom Midgley claims a very helpful 7lb and confidence would be increased should market support arrive for him. Bartholomew shaped well last time and also merits respect along with Alberic and Seaborough.
