Verdict

Former Eric McNamara inmate Fairhaven could be interesting on his first start for Charlie Longsdon if first-time blinkers have the desired effect. But the seven-year-old may need time to acclimatise to new surroundings so we prefer MTPOCKETS on this occasion. Neil Mulholland's mare won over a similar trip at Fontwell in October and has probably been in better form than the majority of her rivals, though last month's Wetherby effort when behind Petroupetrov was a little disappointing. Empire Builder ran his best race so far when runner-up to Extremely So over 2m5f at Leicester last time and Bishophill Jack suggested a longer trip wouldn't come amiss when fifth over 2m6f at Wincanton - they may be best of the rest.
