        Verdict

        Another uninspiring contest filled with mainly disappointing types but Ludere has plenty going for him and is taken to prevail off a light weight. Brian Llewellyn's charge was successful for today's rider at Leicester in December and has put up some respectable efforts in defeat since including in better company on his last two starts so should give backers a run for their money. Ungaretti comes here in top form when landing the spoils at Ludlow last time but had nothing to spare and looks vulnerable off his revised mark. Emphatic has been knocking on the door this season and merits respect while Fandango de Chassy shaped well last time and also enters calculations in a race of this nature.
