Verdict

The market will no doubt sort out the wheat from the chaff here, and we shall rely on Over Sixty to make a winning bow over Flemish Invader, with Punjabi Army also worth a mention. The first two named hail from top stables that regularly churn out decent performers at this level, and in receipt of the sex allowance, our attention is drawn towards Over Sixty. She cost 29,000gns and the dam is a half-sister to Dublin Flyer, so although the daughter of Overbury will not be rushed, a bright future over fences awaits one day. Off 10st 7lb she might just be too good for Flemish Invader whose dam is a half-sister to staying hurdler Conquering Leader. Newmarket trainer Lucy Wadham does not have to send Punjabi Army far for his debut, and any support for him should be noted, but the finale will not take much winning, and can go to Over Sixty.
