        Verdict

        Govenor Eliott is just a tentative choice here as there are some well bred newcomers, the best of which could be Animator and Elemental Hero. Mark Johnston's colt has been well supported on both outings to date and has shown plenty of ability. The ground was fast on both occasions so we may get some improvement on this softer surface. Paul Cole has a good bunch of juveniles this season and Animator is bred to be decent. He was a relatively cheap purchase but is related to listed winners. Jane Chapple-Hyam runs Elemental Hero, a son of Kyllachy out of a well related mare. The market will of course give clues to the chances of these two, along with the Charlton runner Barricado and the Ryan trained Hellfire Bay. However on this occasion we will side with experience and plump for General Eliott.
