In depth

Verdict

Bellomi takes a drop in grade and is fancied ahead of Golan Knight ahead of El Duende. The selection was far from disgraced in a Group Three at Newmarket last time and now taking a drop in grade his class could see him through even if the ground is not ideal. Stablemate Seeking Star has had his fair effort behind Ibn Kaldhoun franked since and whilst he needs to prove that seven furlongs suits at this stage of his career. El Duende should improve on his debut outing and needs respect, along with Shaker who is proven on the ground and is better than his bare recent form. Ocean Transit looks outclassed, whilst Golan Knight won well last time out at Chester and should be a player if he continues to improve. An open race, however preference is for Bellomi.
