In depth

Verdict

Kentucky Hardboot is proving expensive to follow while Ajax Tavern has been struggling for stamina. Bumper winner Beholden is an interesting recruit to hurdling, however, as his yard has been going well. FINISTERE deserves to be favourite on his third at Newbury in December and his Southwell conqueror has since gone close in a novices’ handicap here.
