In depth
Verdict
Downthecellar had shown little before being well supported on his handicap debut at Downpatrick where he led into the straight but found no extra when passed. Our Friend ran at that same fixture having run his best race to date on his previous start at Navan and was in touch when unseating at the second last. Mullaghmurphy Blue eventually finished fourth in that latter event but his two chase victories have come on good ground so he wouldn't want more rain. GIVE ME A MOMENT was having just his third start over fences when gaining a surprise victory at Tipperary so with more to come he can complete a double though Backintheboom, from a yard in top form, also showed major improvement at Clonmel and has been left on the same mark.
