Verdict

First Man is interesting for his in-form yard as he looked a progressive type a couple of seasons back and has a course and distance win on his CV. Watch the market with him. Loup De Maulde ran well on a first start for his new yard and now needs to back that up here. He's respected if doing so off a fair mark. Monty's Award is another course and distance winner and arrives in cracking form and in search of the hat-trick. He looks sure to give a good account but CLUAIN AODHA (NAP) is just preferred. A winner in the pointing sphere, he's finished runner-up on all four hurdling starts, the form of which reads as the strongest on offer and he can get his head in front this time around with conditions to suit.
