In depth
Verdict
Yankeedoodledandy looked decent on Sandown debut and he can take the scalps of Napolitain and New Entic. Pat Haslam's hurdlers are always to be respected up North but the fact that the trainer has elected to come down South again to raid a decent pot should speak volumes. A modest middle-distance performer on the flat, he looks to have found his niche and should not be opposed here. Napolitain is an obvious danger. A winner of a Listed hurdle in France, he makes a debut for Paul Nicholls. Wild is The Wind should have come on for his first British effort and is here unpenalised as a result. Patrixprial looks the most interesting of the debutantes. Yankiedoodledandy secures the verdict.
