Verdict
Voom may improve enough to beat Bogaz, with Hows That and Zolash others for the short list. Mick Channon certainly paid to follow during the summer, and will continue to send out winners with his all-weather team, so with that in mind, Voom is the one we look to here. The daughter of Fraam has improved with each of her three runs, and the step up to a mile may be a master-stroke by her astute handler. When dropped back to five furlongs at Bath last time, she was doing all her best work at the finish and looks well capable of obliging over this sort of trip against moderate opposition. Bogaz has more experience and his staying on sixth at Southwell suggests that this trip will bring out the best in him as well, so he rates the main danger. Hows That made the most of a fair mark when landing a selling nursery at Newcastle in October but disappointed off a higher mark next time, while Zolash, with Kieren Fallon booked to ride, could well show improvement. Art Legend will in all probability need the run, and we return to Voom as the answer.
