In depth
Verdict
A moderate contest to get the day underway and winning chaser Nordic Way may be good enough to see off his younger rivals on this return to timber. A 107-rated hurdler he would have more to do in a handicap and the only doubt about him in this is the trip, which is a bit on the short side for him. Despite his advancing years, Hoh Invader is still capable and should go well in this, although he has plenty on his plate trying to give weight to the selection, while Lord Sandrovitch looks to have lost the plot and it remains to be seen whether the blinkers will have the desired effect.
