In depth

Verdict

All can be given a fair chance in a really open contest. The vote is awarded to PETER'S PORTRAIT as he has plenty of room for improvement after just four starts over timber, was noted staying on well over this course and distance last time and will have no issues with ground conditions. North Star Oscar has already had a good season and ran well at Wetherby the last day. He should emerge as the main danger if handling his first experience of this longer trip. Silent Encore is consistent but does look in the grip of the handicapper, whilst Alanjou and Stonebrigg Legend cannot be discounted on the best of their form.
