In depth

Verdict

A trappy opener in which Bally Conn, Christdalo and Lose The Attitude look the three to concentrate upon and we side with Christdalo. The selection probably found life a little too hot in a Grade 2 event at Cheltenham but there isn't anything of that ilk here and in the light of this easier assignment, he receives the confident selection. Bally Conn had decent form between the flags and won on debut under rules for Henrietta Knight. That bumper didn't look to be the strongest although his stable are in form and a good account can be anticipated. Lose The Attitude has shown glimpses of ability and while he would need to have improved again, his recent outing at Southwell suggested that a small race could be within his compass. Thai Vango has to bounce back from a severe disappointment at Lingfield. Old Benny possesses ability although he has become expensive to follow. Very Special One regularly places but her win record is now 0 from 12. Plenty of improvers on view but we believe that Christdalo looks the best of these and he is accordingly selected.
